2025 Harley-Davidson Street Glide: Why You Should Not Buy The Touring Bike

Just a few days ago, Harley-Davidson took the wraps off the 2025 Street Glide. The bikemaker has taken the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” approach, and just elevated the touring bike’s visual appeal. As a result, you have new liveries to enjoy. However, we think you’re better off buying the 2024 Harley-Davidson Street Glide instead. Why? Allow GoodbikeBadbike to explain.

Massive Price Hike

This is perhaps the biggest reason not to get the 2025 Street Glide. It seems Harley-Davidson’s financial woes are finally catching on, and the new Glide’s price hike is rather sizable. It now sells for $27,749, which is $1,749 more than the 2024 model. So if you want to save money, just get one of the 2024 examples. There’s no change anyway, and you’ll save crucial money.

New Colors Bump Up The Cost Even Further

For 2025, the Street Glide has three fancy colorways. One is the Mystic Shift, which acts like a color-changing option, while the other two are Whiskey Firestorm and Midnight Firestorm. As cool as they look, all these make the already pricey bike even pricier. You’ll have to pay $3,550 extra for the Mystic Shift colorway, whereas the other two cost a whopping $4,250 more. We don’t know about you, but that is some serious money for what is essentially just a different shade.

No Mechanical Changes

Last but not least, you don’t really get any extras for what you’re paying now. The Street Glide is exactly the same bike as 2024, be it engine-wise or feature-wise. That makes complete sense since the bike had an overhaul just last year but with the hike in place, it does make you question things. So if you’re not someone who cares about colors, the 2024 model is a wiser and more pocket-friendly option today.
